Dear Valued Customer:

Due to the upcoming change to Daylight Savings Time (DST), Zultys Technologies is sending out this advisory to ensure customers in the United States, Canada and Western Australia take immediate steps to avert any potential problems in our service and product functionality. Normally set for early April, DST is now scheduled to be observed on March 11, and has been extended to remain in effect until November 4, in an effort to conserve energy. As such, system features previously programmed into Zultys Technologies equipment like Auto Attendant (AA) scheduling, Call Back Requests, Call Handling rules, Voicemail timestamps, etc., could be adversely affected.

In an attempt to mitigate any problems, Zultys has taken immediate steps to accommodate for DST-related changes in order to minimize the impact to our award-winning line of MX Enterprise Media Exchange systems as well as the entire family of IP phones. We advise all of our customers to upgrade to the latest version of software, which is available for download on the Zultys Customer Resources Web page. Versions that contain the DST fix include: MX250 and MX30 - version 3.0.32; ZIP2x2 and ZIP2x2L - 1.2.17; ZIP4x4 - 1.4.12; ZIP4x5 - 2.4.15; and ZIP4x4L - 1.0.5. In addition, the new MX software includes several critical MXIE-related fixes. Please check release notes for details.

However, if for some reason customers do not want to install the latest version, a software patch can be applied to MX30 and MX250 systems connected to the Zultys Customer Support Server (CSS). It is important to realize this patch is not a bug fix and only remedies DST-related problems. We advise all of our customers to plan accordingly as the activation of this patch requires system reboot. Patches are not applicable to phones. To request this patch, please connect the MX250 or MX30 to Zultys CSS and send an email with your System Controller serial number to DST@Zultys.com. Our Tech Support team will apply the patch and you will receive confirmation.

Zultys has no way to fix third-party phones. If you are using third-party phones, you must contact the manufacturer to accommodate for the DST changes.

Of course, it is always possible to manually change time zone settings on MX and phones. However, if utilizing this approach, administrators also will need to manually redress time zone changes in April and the October-November timeframe, when the previously programmed changes kick into effect.

Zultys Technologies is firmly committed to the highest levels of customer satisfaction. If you have any additional questions, please direct all inquires to support@zultys.com.
